227 Gallery (1999) Gallery for one work only. In October 1998 gallery opened its spaces in the private studio as an initiative of Zlatko Wurtzberg and Peter Bilak with the support of Jan van Eyck Akademie, Maastricht. The Gallery provided all the fundamental requirements needed by a work of art exposed to the public as well by its potential spectator: a space, an amount of time given to its presentation, a critical account on work, public, and promotion.

This book presents work of artists exhibiting in the gallery as well as essays of ZW, and randomly generated text inspired by artist’s work.
